Daniel Fraidstern joined the firm of Warren & Warren, P.C. in August 2011. In his previous employment, Mr. Fraidstern worked for 6 years as an attorney for the Administration for Children’s Services in the Family Court Legal Services Division. As an attorney representing the Commissioner of Children’s Services, Mr. Fraidstern prosecuted numerous serious and complex child abuse and neglect cases in Kings County Family Court. He has a strong familiarity with New York State laws and regulations affecting foster care placements. Mr. Fraidstern brings that expertise to the firm.
Mr. Fraidstern graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania, Class of 2000, and attended Brooklyn Law School, where he graduated with honors in 2005. During law school, he interned in the Crimes Against Children’s Bureau of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office. He also participated in a judicial law clinic, a Workers’ Rights Clinic, and served as an attorney for children at the Children’s Law Center. Mr. Fraidstern represented victims of domestic violence in Kings Family Court through the Courtroom Advocates Program. Mr. Fraidstern also served as a Notes and Comments Editor on the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, where he had an article published on the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction. Mr. Fraidstern also won CALI Awards for Excellence in Legal Writing and Constitutional Law. Mr Fraidstern throughout his career has been an advocate for the protection of children, a philosophy he will continue at Warren & Warren, P.C.
Mr. Fraidstern is a resident of Brooklyn, where he resides with his wife and two sons.
